Artist Statement
Tropical Almond Tree, Punalu'u, draws inspiration from the vibrant tropical almond trees of Punalu'u, Hawaii, where lush mountains cascade into the sea. These trees are remarkable ecosystems, hosting dense foliage, epiphytes, vines, and a variety of other plants that thrive in their embrace. The piece captures the symbiotic vitality of this natural wonder, celebrating the beauty and richness of Hawaii's coastal landscape.
