Cusp of Spring

59cm x 39cm (24” x 16”)

Acrylic on canvas

Float-Framed in Oak ply

Painted October 2022, Melbourne

‘Cusp of Spring’ relates to the late Winter blooms of the Sakura (cherry blossoms) here in Melbourne. They’re usually the first to bloom. The piece has curved corners, in a midcentury-modern style, and is hand-crafted (by me -chuffed-) from the canvas stretcher to the oak frame.
