‘Crater Lake’ is a psychedelic, other-worldly, semi-abstract landscape and is reminiscent of the ‘Mono No Aware’ series (Japanese expression for impermanence). The piece has a blue hue, and boulders in the foreground are rounded… both indicative of Tasmanian/Australian landscape (the blue hue is from grey/blue eucalyptus foliage, and the rounded-boulders show the age of the Australian landscape).
